Never thought I’d be back here
The familiar mistake like
lighting up cigarettes
Learning to forget
Committing only to let go
I burn up all our memories
in vain to let the pain go
Evasive clarity
the epitome of cyclical time
Pretension masked as profundity
I let history repeat
Lost epiphanies to laziness
of not writing it down
so I write this down
awaiting the lost epiphanies
